Shuruq Harb studied Philosophy at Earlham College (USA) and Photographic Studies at Westminster University London (UK).

She recently held residencies in Aarau, Switzerland in 2008, at the School of Visual Arts, New York (2008-2009), and the Delfina Foundation, London (2010) and studied at the Funen Art Academy in Odense, Denmark (2012).

She is Artistic Director of Makan Art Space in Amman, Jordan. Recent curatorial projects include Battle of Images, Contemporary Image Collective, Cairo (2013), The river has two banks, with Samah Hijawi and Toleen Touq (2012-ongoing), COMMUNITAS. Among  Others, Camera Austria, Graz (2011). Her solo presentations include The Keeper, Columbia University GSAPP, New York (2013), A Book of Signatures, Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, UK and her work has appeared in the group shows A Thousand Doors, curated by Whitechapel Gallery in The Gennadius Library, Athens (2014), The Unofficial Catalogue of Paul Klee, Art Dubai Catalogue (2014), Future Movements, “City States”, Liverpool Biennial (2010). She has published The one that got away, published on Ibraaz (2013), ‘Picasso in Palestine’ Prior Magazine (2012).
