Martin Kimani

Martin Kimani (*1971 in Mombasa, Kenya) lives and works in Nairobi, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia and New York has been published in The East African, Granta, Süddeutschen Zeitung, Chimurenga, Farafina, Kwani and Juxtapoz, among others. He is an Associate Fellow at the Conflict, Security and Development Group at King’s College London, where he completed a PhD in War Studies. His thesis focused on the role of the Catholic Church, Christian symbolism and racialism in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. He is a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative (East Africa class) and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
