Bonnie Begusch works primarily with time-based media to examine the raw material of text, the grammars of representational systems and the matter and mutability of sense.

After studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and Humboldt Universität, Berlin, she received her MFA from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010.

Her work has been presented at such venues as the Berkeley Art Museum; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Tape Modern, Berlin; Exile, Berlin; Vox Populi, Philadelphia; Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia; KARST, Plymouth; 92YTribeca, New York; Cabinet, New York and Public Fiction, Los Angeles.

Recent awards include a grant from the Center for Cultural Innovation, Los Angeles;  Murphy & Cadogan Fellowship in the Fine Arts; UC Berkeley Arts Research Center Fellowship and residencies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture; Headlands Center for the Arts; Djerassi and CCA Andratx, Spain.
