Gerda Paliušytė is a curator based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Her work is concerned with the matter of representation, exploring how it is restricted by various social needs and determined by predominant yet mutable power structures. Therefore Paliušytė  has been addressing the limits of different means and modes of representation in search for an individualizing gaze, doing so in a form of events, videos, exhibitions and temporal institutions.

Since 2011 Paliušytė  has also organized events based on screenplays created for specific place and time: "Exhibition closure"(2011), "Cabinet Noir" (2012), "Scenario for Swimming Pool" (2012), “Untitled Exhibition” (2012). In 2012 she became one of the initiators and curators of "The Gardens" - an exhibition space based in Vilnius planetarium.

She is currently working on her new video piece about postcolonialism, thinking of it as a road movie in a city, where the main state museum has recently expanded its permanent collection. Accordingly her current research is concerned with young rap music scene in Vilnius and collection of Oceanic tribal arts in Lithuanian Art Museum.

Selected exhibitions and projects: “An exhibition of meetings” (2012), "An evening with Dr. Sheppard" (2012), "Sput" (2013), Disco music” (2013).
