Born in Iran, Azin Feizabadi is a filmmaker and visual artist who lives and works in Berlin.
In 2009 Feizabadi launched his ongoing research and production framework entitled A Collective Memory. Swaying between fact and fiction, as well as poetics and immediate politics, the multidisciplinary works within A Collective Memory aim at both political imagination and emancipatory participation. Azin Feizabadi's films, installations, public interventions, writings and curatorial activities as part of A Collective Memory attempt to produce an alternative historiography based on notions of 'projection', 'specters' and 'time travel', instead of merely foreseeing the past.

Feizabadi is co-founder of the artist group Reloading Images (2006).  He has co-edited the Reloading Images Publication Series (2007–2009) as well as a Sharjah Biennial 10 artist book Then we went to search of somewhere to stay the night (2011). His works have been screened and exhibited at ICA London (2014), Berlinale Forum Expanded (2014 and 2012); Beirut in Cairo (2013); Maxim Gorki Theater, Berlin (2013); Heidelberger Kunstverein (2012); Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2010); Queens Museum, New York (2010);  n.b.k. Berlin (2010); Sheila C. Johnson Design Center, New York (2010); Silkroad Gallery, Tehran (2009); nGbK Berlin (2008); Azad Gallery, Tehran (2007); and 52nd Oberhausen Short Film Festival (2006); among others.
