Adnan Softić
The video and installation artist Adnan Softić (*1975 Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina) lives and works in Germany. He studied in Hamburg and is a founding member of the band LOMA.
His video work defies common definitions like documentary or narrative. Only through ambivalence can the filmmaker do justice to a reality where nothing has been left standing, both metaphorically and physically speaking. However, methodical diversity is traditional in a culture that has experienced so many influences, overlaps and suppressions.
