SPECTACLE AND SITUATION: CAN ARTISTIC SPONTANEITY BE STAGED THROUGH THE MEDIA?

This publication was released as an accompanying magazine for the Sommerakademie 2007, co-curated by Brigitte Felderer and Herbert Lachmayer.
The contributions provide an introduction to the theme and pose questions regarding the social conditions and the aesthetic practice of artistic productivity. The magazine also describes the exhibition, which accompanied the academy and allowed the participating artists to present their artistic positions. The publication contains short biographies of the artists and their works as well as the guest curators.
