DRAGGED DOWN INTO LOWERCASE

This publication was released as an accompanying magazine for the Sommerakademie 2008. The guest curators Clémentine Deliss and Oscar Tuazon developed a concept, which explored the antagonisms between outlasting, production, visibility and decay. The magazine analyses this concept through contributions by Speakers and introduces the works and artistic positions of the twelve Fellows 2008. The overarching theme connecting the different approaches used by the artists and contributions by the Speakers is the challenging of conventions commonly applied in exhibitions and the reception of art works.
