Bernese Night of the Museums
March 16th, 2012, 18.00 - 02.00h

The Sommerakademie presented a light performance by Geneviève Favre Petroff (Alumna Sommerakademie 2007) and musical contributions by DJ Thomas Burkhalter of the Network Norient.

Geneviève Favre Petroff presented her wonderful light performance Lokum. With light, dance and singing she evoked the beauty and wealth of the Middle-Eastern culture. Her dress consisted of 124 lokum cubes (Turkish Delight) of increasing size, which lighted up and drew motives in movement, synchronized with the music.

Geneviève Favre Petroff (*1978, Lausanne, Switzerland) studied in Geneva voice at the conservatory from 1997 – 1999 and art at the School of Visual Arts Geneva from 1996 – 2000. She produces interactive art spaces using song, colour and space rotations.
