Tirdad Zolghadr

Tirdad Zolghadr is an independent writer/curator, who writes for Frieze and other publications and is editor-at-large for Cabinet magazine. Zolghadr has been the curator for many events in a wide range of venues, including the United Arab Emirates national pavilion, Venice 09, and the long-term project Lapdogs of the Bourgeoisie (with Nav Haq). He teaches at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College NY, and is a curatorial advisor to the Artist Pension Trust and the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. Zolghadr is a founding member of the Shahrzad collective, and has also filmed and directed the documentaries Tehran 1380 (2002, with Solmaz Shahbazi) and Tropical Modernism (2006). His novel Softcore (2007) has been translated into German, Italian and French.
