Gianni Jetzer

Gianni Jetzer (*1969) is the Director of Swiss Institute Contemporary Art, an independent art space in New York City.

He has realized numerous exhibitions with international artists at migros museum für gegenwartskunst in Zürich (Curator, 1998-2001), Kunsthalle St. Gallen (Director, 2001-2006) and Swiss Institute New York (Director, since 2006). In addition he is a freelance curator, organizing exhibitions for institutions and galleries such as Stedelijk Museum, Sittard, Museum Tinguely, Basel, curated_by, Vienna, Karma International, Zurich, Fondazione Barriera, Turin.

From 1999 to 2002, Jetzer was editor-in-chief of the art magazine material. He is founding editor of Miuze (together with Barbara Corti) an innovative platform linking the internet to a printed magazine. He has written numerous contributions for catalogues, art magazines, and newspapers such as Parkett, Flash Art, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Spike, frame, Kunst-Bulletin.
