Nikola Dietrich

Nicola Dietrich ( born in 1972) has, since October 2007, been the curator at the Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Basle where she curated the following exhibitions: "Above the Fold" (with Ayse Erkmen, Ceal FLoyer and David Lamelas), "How do you love dzzzzt by Mammy" with Enrico David, "Little Theatre of Gestures", Monica Bonvicini and Tom Burr, and "Through the Forest" with Rodney Graham.

She studied history of art, modern German literature and journalism in Munich and Berlin. In 2002 she attended the De Appel Curatorial Training Programme in Amsterdam, where she co-curated the closing exhibition „Haunted by detail“. Afterwards she worked in the curator workshop, founded by René Block, in the Kunsthalle Fridericianum. She was the curator at the Portikus in Frankfurt am Main between 2004 and 2007 and curated over 20 exhibitions there. She is the editor of numerous publications accompanying the exhibitions.
